Dinosaur finally reigns supreme!

With Asim and SabreDabre out of the picture, many felt that the door of opportunity was open for them to go on and challenge for the Tekken Force Tournament crown. This was, of course, before the Street Fighter 3rd Strike European champion and one of the top Tekken players in the world, Prodigal Son, decided to make a last-minute surprise appearance.

Despite some controversy surrounding the Prodigal Son’s borrowed arcade stick, it wasn’t enough to take the shine off of Dinosaurs ultimately convincing win. He took some time (months in fact) and at times it went to the wire, but Dinosaur is now the Tekken Force Champion.

So a huge congratulations to Dinosaur as he finally gets his hand on a HORI Real Arcade Pro V3 and £200 in cash.

Another big shout out goes to Prodigal Son as this was his first Tekken Force tournament and he still managed to seal 2nd place – I’m sure it won’t be the last we see of him.

And in 3rd place was Tekken Force’s very own, Shadow Force. He’ll be disappointed not to have won it after some quality performances, but won’t be too displeased with his £50 in Gamerbase vouchers.

So that’s it for now as the Tekken Force tournament comes to an emotional end. The next tournament will be held at the Eurogamer expo on the 24/09/2011 and will be a face-off between the top 16 players, based on result of the previous Tekken Force Tournaments.

At the end of the tournament, the winner gets the ULTIMATE prize for any Tekken Fan - the specially-crafted gold Heihachi-head trophy, which has been featured in the game endings themselves since Tekken 3! He/she will also walk away with a massive Hori VLX PREMIUM joystick and custom framed artwork!!
The runner up will also get the beastly VLX stick and some artwork, and we’ll throw in artwork for 3rd, 4th and 5th place too!

So until the Eurogamer final, I hope you’re all Tek-ken it easy and anticipating what promises to be one of the great gaming competitions!
